This guide walks you through connecting Coinbase Prime to your Parfin account. This assumes that you already have a valid administrator account in Parfin and that you have a valid and verified Coinbase Prime account.

1. Preparing Parfin

As an administrator, log into your Parfin account, go to “Settings” > “Counterparties” and click “Connect Counterparty” .

Select “Exchange” from the tabs, select “Coinbase Prime” from the dropdown.

Give this connection a name (this name will show up across your account).

2. Creating Read-only and Transaction keys

In a different tab, Log in to Coinbase Prime (coinbase.com).

Then click on the "Settings" > "API".

Under the  Acess Type option, make sure you select "Portfolio".

Click the "Create Portfolio API Key" button.

Read Only Key:

Give the API a nickname: “Parfin Read Only”.

Under the "Access Type" option tick only the “Read”, then click Set Permissions.

Set the "Expiration Date" to "Never", then click the "Continue" button.

Transaction Key:

Click again the "Create Portfolio API Key" button.

Give the API a nickname: “Parfin Transactional”.

Under the "Access Type" option tick all the options (Read, Transfer and Trade), then click Set Permissions.

Set the "Expiration Date" to "Never", then click the "Continue" button.

Now that you have created both the Read Only and Transactional Key, depending on the approval consensus set for you company on Coinbase Prime, some additional approvals will be required before you can proceed with the API Activation.

Now repeat the same process for the Transaction Key.

Click on "Activate Key" under the action column on the Pending Keys table.
